It's already the beginnig of the year , and it's time to start planning !!
The financial situation is still dire !!! and I am still looking for partners to finish the boat ...
What I think is the best solution is to sold 1/12th part of the boat, which will give a partner 1 month/year usage for him/her,their family or friends with me or Pierre on board as skipper .
The navigation zone is open to discussion : the Americas west coast, Europe,...???
Financially, their investment should be recouped in 2 years considering the price of renting a yacht of similar size, and when the boat is sold in a few years they will get 1/12th of the saling price which should be much more than their original investment !!
I am asking $ 20,000.00 for one 1/12th share !!
Two or three partners will be ideal, with less clashes about periods of usage , and is what I need to finish the boat !!!!!
To finish her :
We estimate 3 months + to finish the hard work, mostly putting a 2nd layer on deck,getting her out of the water ,painting,remasting....
Basically, we can restart work in April and will be sailing to Mexico in September !!
It's a very nice oportunity to be part owner of a classic/historic schooner at very very low financial risk which is more than you can say about this kind of project !!
I am open to any suggestions or propositions .
All I want is to be able to finish this beautifull schooner .
Remember that we are not really the owners but the custodians of this boat and we are trying to save her for future generations !!

Well, nobody was really interested in partnership and I was obliged to file for bankrupcy in May 2007 !
So she is now in the hands of the official receiver and for sale only !!
